Skipping important steps in the name of "efficiency"

Like, to a point that Iโll sometimes (read: often) justify not doing the really meaningful, needed inner work before getting started in my work day because all I can think about is the time Iโm spending doing that when I could be doing some other โmoney making taskโ.
๐๐ฅ๐ค๐๐ก๐๐ง ๐๐ก๐๐ง๐ฉ: ๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐ฎ๐ค๐ช ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ช๐ก๐ก ๐๐ก๐๐๐ฃ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ, ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ข๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ฎ ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐จ๐ ๐จ.
In any case, I wanted to share a bit of my experience this morning in hopes it inspires someone else to ๐ง๐ช๐ญ๐ญ ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ ๐ค๐ถ๐ฑ ๐ง๐ช๐ณ๐ด๐ต.ย

Even if youโre like me and your entire goal in making money is to give it all away, you (read: I) have to realize that you are no good to anyone depleted.ย
You have to be the best version of you to maximize what you are able to do for others. Period.ย
I digress...ย
I started a new journaling practice a few months ago.ย
Anyone who has known me for more than five minutes knows that I try live in a constant state of gratitude, so doing a daily gratitude journal came naturally to me, but anything outside of that is usually a hard eye roll for me, but my coach said to do it, so Iโm in. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
The practice starts with first listing out 10 wants and desires, writing them out as full sentences and then re-writing them out in the present tense as if you have already received these blessings from the universe.ย
The goal here is to go ahead and get into the mindset of what the best version of you looks like; to start acting like that person TODAY.ย
So of course, me being the efficiency queen that I am, I intentionally found ways of writing my original statements so that I could just mark out a portion of the sentence and replace it with โAMโ or โHAVEโ and just re-read them to myself and meditate on THOSE feelings.
But what I found in this practice this morning went even deeper than I was expecting.ย
As I was going back through my sentences, what I realized is that there was rarely ever even a need to add anything at all. ๐คฏ
โI want to honor my time.โ became
โI wฬทaฬทnฬทtฬท ฬทtฬทoฬท ฬท honor my time.โ
โ๐ ๐๐ข๐ก๐ข๐ฅ ๐ ๐ฌ ๐ง๐๐ ๐.โย
โI want to have meaningful boundaries.โ is nowย
โI wฬทaฬทnฬทtฬท ฬทtฬทoฬท ฬทhฬทaฬทvฬทeฬท meaningful boundaries.โ
